This template creates a private discussion list with replies going to the list. It will normally have private archives, and only subscribers may send mail to it. Only list owners may review the list of subscribers. This template has the lowest level of security validation - the only thing that requires a password is a list PUT. See chapter 2 in the List Owner's Manual for more information. The purpose of this list is to discuss the issues surrounding the use of animals in the classroom, particularly in the context of high school biology labs. Topics to be covered include, but are not restricted to: Alternatives to dissection; live animal experiments; multidisciplinary, inquiry-based alternatives to traditional curricula and the potential difficulties encountered in the introduction of alternatives, such as conforming to state curriculum standards.
