Backup news for January 30, 2005

The back up server for: O'Connor, Taft, Lassendas, Stapley, Zaharis,
Highland, Red mtn ranch, Falcon hill, Ishikawa, emecec, Franklin ne,
Mendoza, Fremont, Sousa, Entz, Shepherd, Smith and Bush is up and running.
Red mtn high should be on line by the end of Monday.

The backup server for Lehi, Ed Tech, Edison, Emerson, Whitman, Carson,
Macarthur, Mesa Vista, Mountain view, Poston, Kerr, Hawthorne, Kino,
Westwood, Eisenhower, Hermosa vista, Hale, Mc Kellips and Field went down
today (Sunday) at about noon. It is being worked on today and next week.

If you are at any of the schools on the server that went down Sunday
afternoon I hope to have it backup early next week. If you have not had your
backup server rebuilt it will be soon. I have been working up to 13 hr days
and some time on the weekends. Please remove any unneeded or unapproved
data. A good place to look is in teacher's class folders. If you can get the
teachers to help that would be great. I spent hours on the first server just
removing data.

For those of you who have already cleaned up your servers THANK YOU !!!!!

Once data is in a backup set it cannot be removed with out starting the
whole backup over. This is why it is an important time to do the clean up. I
hope not to have to do this again for few months.
