Welcome back!!  Don Perkins here from Brimhall Junior High. . .

We were prompted to update our version of Star to the latest in late
January after all the teachers had done an initial testing right after the
beginning of the second semester on an earlier version.  Then, at the end
of the third quarter one of our teachers did a "progress" comparsion (using
test results from the new version of Star and earlier test results from the
earlier version).  Half of the kids wnet up, the other half went down!
Consultation with experts at Renaisance said we should have expected that!
Now we need to test all students who haven't tested on the new version SOON
so we will have more valid and realiable data at the end of the year.

Bottomline, if you haven't, don't change horses in the middle of the stream!!
