Welcome back!

I hope this finds everyone rested and raring to go. We have our work cut out for us. This summer
36 elementary schools had their old Mac operating systems upgraded (or downgraded in some
cases) to OS 8.6. It is a much needed change. However, the downside of the project is the loss of
all AR and STAR software on the machines. We have set up a schedule to get all schools back up
and running ASAP. The G4 file servers are in the process of being upgraded and having some
much needed work done. You may find the server is not up and running at the school. I will get a
schedule out to you very soon.

So, be patient with the AR and STAR testing. I realize that this is a critical time of the year for STAR
and teachers need to get it running right away. This couldn't be done sooner since we all got back
just last week.

Since this project involves several thousand computers we may ask you guys to help us out by
simply installing the AR 6.2.2 and STAR 2.2.2 on the old Macs (5260's). We might have a quicker
solution from AR. I will keep everyone informed.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. I'm looking for a volunteer to hold our first meeting.
