AR News
Gayle Householder is the AR lady. Call her for help in training your
teachers. 26255 at Lindebergh.

DO NOT install AR 6.0! We're working out the bugs. For those of you who are
running AR 6.0 out of necissity, let me know of any problems.

STAR is a separate program from AR. It needs Student Expansion codes just
like AR. If you don't get them then you can only enroll 200 students. Many
schools are running STAR as a standalone in the classrooms.

51 schools are now doing AR

16 additional servers were bought for the JH Schools.

Server Problems??? Call the Help Desk (20044) and they will find Jeff Rossi
who is supporting all the districts G4 servers.

It is highly recommended that you old server people get upgraded to the new
configuration that is being offered by Ernie Nicely. Twin 60 Gb hard drives,
mirroring (no more backing up, the server does it for you). 256 Mb of RAM and
the newest operating system. Have your principal call Ernie Nicely to start
the change over to a new server. A school's down time should be only one or
two days.

Next meeting: 9-11 at O'Connor in the PC lab. Thank you Tammy for offering
the lab.

Don
