Beth,
Math Workshop opens on the XP's with black boxes covering up part of the
screen. We've taught our kiddos to use Alt+F4 to close the program then
re-open it and on the second opening it works fine...don't know why but it
works.
With DeepFreeze in the lab, registrations/progress for Mighty Math
Carnival, Mavis Beacon, Type to Learn Jr., etc. are not saved. The
students also need to be told that they can't save to My Documents -- the
computer reverts back to the original setup when restarted. so some
adjustments must be made.
We use Drawing for Children instead of KidPix - so no experience there.

> Keller was refreshed in October. You will need to adjust settings to get
> Phonics Express to work. This is simple: right click on My Computer,
> click on properties, advanced, performance settings, advanced, virtual
> memory, change, then change Initial size to 3048, click Set, OK, OK. I got
> this information from the Porter Lab Aide (sorry I forgot the name)who

> KidPix should work fine. Micrograms will work great. The trick is getting
> them on because you will not have 3 1/2 inch disk drives on your lab
> computers. You have two options to resolve this. (1)Find an old Imac
> external drive in the media center (if you have/had Imacs). It is great
> because it plugs directly into a USB port. Load one computer with any
> Micrograms games you have. Then use a flash drive to transfer to all the
> other computers. If you don't have an external drive, load the Micrograms
> games on a classroom computer and then transfer using the flash drive.
