When a computer is directed to "start up" or "restart", if you have any
computers that come up with names of teachers or programs that
have been logged on to the server, i.e. "burke", "pam.griffin", "orchard",
"AR", etc. there is a way to eliminate this problem.

First, you can use the network asst. to restart your computers in the
lab. Take note which computers come up with a TCP/IP addresses
and the name who the address is for. You will need to go to each
individual computer, go to "chooser" and log on as that person and
their password. When it opens up to the screen for you to select
"Staff", "StaffShare", etc., make sure that none of the boxes are
checked. If so, you must remove the check mark(s). Restart the
computer and then your computer should come up with the desktop
only. You may have more than one TVCP/IP address for each
computer and if so you will need to go through each one as stated
above. NOTE: On a few of my computers I had to go through this
prcess 4 or 5 times even if the selections had not been checked
because of the log ins prior. Always restart the computer and see
what shows so you will know if you need to clear any other TCP/IPs
addresses.
