Until a few months ago podcasts were the cutting edge thing. Podcasts
(derived from the word iPod) are pre-recorded audio sessions. The
subject matter can be anything . . . . lectures, talk shows, news
reports, sport reports. But then Apple introduced iTunes 4.9 and
podcasts were mainstream and passe

The new cutting edge is vodcasts. Video on demand broadcast and its
as simple as making an iMovie. And it doesn't need a server to host
the file. Just an OS X computer. And while you can make the iMovie
file in OS 9, you still need OS X to convert the file to an mp4. And
to properly host it.

Here is the instructions I started with . . . .
http://playlistmag.com/features/2005/07/howtovodcast/index.php. I did
improve on them a bit for the large file specified below. This is a
link of my first attempt . . . . http://www.teamk.org/Video/Koko.xml.
As a podcast, it's a download. But if you take the koko link and
paste it into Safari, you get a streaming video.

Using OS X and iTunes 4.9 be in the podcast section and click on the
advanced menu and you can use either, open stream or subscribe to
podcast and paste the Koko url in. Then click ok and it downloads.
Then open the item entry and you find two listings. Small and large.
Large is for high quality full screen. And this works with Windows XP
and iTunes for XP

And I am going to submit my vodcast to Apple for listing on their
Podcast listings. Anyone can do that And if you want to see what else
you can get published . . . .

Anyone can do it. Especially any Mac that has been set up with the
district image for OS X
