Hi everyone,
I wanted to thank you for all of your suggestions you sent me!
Unfortunately, nothing worked. I sat and compared computers side by
side and found nothing! A lot of wasted time and energy (neither of
which I have a lot of right now). A phone call to IS for a different
problem and Bill answered. He solved my original problem and then as
we were talking I explained the microgram issue. He knew immediately
what had happened!
When my new computers were loaded with XP instead of Vista, I had 2
techs from IS arrive. One enabled the USB's and one didn't!! How
simple is that?! (This was not my first call to IS about the
problem).
Solution: At the beginning of the boot-up when your computer is
starting up, you need to watch your screen at the top and as soon as
you see it you need to press the F2 key. That gets you to the Bios
screen. You need to scroll to the bottom of the list and the very
last item is to enable the USB, you simply click the bubble to enable
and you are done!!
I hope by sharing this I can save some of you the aggravation and loss
of time I went through!
                           Hope this will help someone!
                                    Helen
