Wendy, If I remember correctly, go to the hard drive, system folder,
then open the "start up" folder and see if anything is in this
folder. If there is, just drag the item(s) to the trash, then
restart your computer. See if this works.
I had the same problem two years ago and I believe this is what I had to do.
