Couple of possibilities...
How big is the file? Our email doesn't handle anything larger than 5MB. In my
experience, it gives no notice if the file is too large - just nothing
happens.
Also, I had a similar problem this morning for an image I sent to myself from
home. It let me open it in the email and then I used the copy command to get
it to my computer. So, maybe district changed something, as I have downloaded
images before in the "normal" manner!
