Hello! Today we received some of the site-licensed CD's for
Harcourt's Trophy reading series. There is a disk labeled Electronic
Test System, Reading Practice and Assessment for each grade level (we
are still waiting for the 5th grade disk). Is anyone running this
software? Did you install it on your server or individual computers
as stand-alones?

There is a second series of disks that are titled Phonics Express.
This series also comes in different levels. The system requirements
are: Mac OS X, Windows ME, 2000 Pro or XP. These are advertised as
the "fun activity" disks. Has anyone tried these disks on Mac OS
9.2.2, Windows 95 or 98?

When the reading series was being evaluated before narrowing down the
list of companies from which a school could choose their series, did
anyone at the district have a chance to look at this? What I am
really asking is if there is a plan for the use of this software? Is
it up to each site to decide whether or not to install it on their
server?

Thanks for your help!
