Some of the schools are getting a message that the sophos virus
definitions are out of date. And some teachers think this is a
message telling them they have a virus. They don't. All that is
happening is Sophos can't connect to the Sophos partition to check
for updates
This will be a temporary problem. In part an applescript did not get
installed on some Macs during the summer OS 8.6 project due to Jeff's
departure. And in part the permissions got messed during the server
revision. A more permanent solution is being pursued.
To tell if you have the script installed, check the startup items
folder. If it is there, then the sophos partition has messed up
permissions. If it is not there, let me know and I will get it to you
and then you can use network asst to distribute to all the school macs
