Hi Thank you all for attending the meeting yesterday. It was nice seeing
you all and meeting some new ladies and getting the input. We are sorry we
didn't get to meet all of you, maybe next time at Occonnor on November 5.
Thank you Jenn for hosting next time.
If you are not on the listserve here is the address:

Thank you Khris for staying on hold with the help desk so that we could
find out that we need to leave our computers turned on during the week but
shut them off on Fridays.

We talked about how our labs were going and finally getting to where we
aren't so overwhelmed but that how we are bummed that we can't use the same
programs as before we had 8.1. That we also do not have rights to make
changes on the student profile that will last, such as personalized
settings or putting on printers.
Most of our schools now have the printers all numbered and some schools
have found out that either the classrooms were printing into the
library/media center or into the lab and not individual printers.

Jason or any of the other ed trainers were not able to attend as they were
previously booked but may attend in the future. Any questions or concerns
that you have can be emailed to Jason Jacobson or Norman Peckham.

Please do not let your students use Animal Jam because they can chat with
anyone.

Some aide/techs are having all there students or most of their students
logging on with their own student active directory account. Students can
save this way into Documents then log off and can go to any other computer
log in using their active directory and find their work in Documents.

Using stu(number of the school) and Mesa2014 for logging in is just fine
except that work is saved just onto a specific computer.

SmartMath is up and running but aides/techs do not have access to student
information.

Active Directory student information can be found by using Architeck if you
have access to it. Some of the student active directory accounts are not
working and they are working on that.

If you receive a user profile error please call the HelpDesk 20044

One of the sites that was mentioned for mouse skills was
http://www.minimouse.us/. Very cute and helps with using the mouse.

There was a question about the new math program, MyMath. Some are using it
and some aren't yet.

Ticket to Read is really good for younger students and ELL. There is a 2
month free trial.
This could be using in place of AR which most schools aren't using anymore.
There are things to read, prizes and games. The only drawback is that it
costs $3,000.

We are no longer doing PARCC or Acuity. Aims is supposed to based on-line.

1 school is using Galileo.

I know there are some sites and other things that were brought up that I
have missed.

Please feel free to add to this.

See you in November at O'Connor.

Have a great day!
